Raise a supply request

Overview​

This flow describes how to raise a supply request from one location to another location in the same facility. Care creates the request as a draft order.

Pre-requisites​

  • You are a member of the facility.
  • The facility has more than one location, because you request stock from another location.
  • You have the permissions listed below.

Permissions​

Can Create Supply Request on FacilityLets you raise a supply request in the facility. Facility Admin, Admin, Staff, Doctor, and Nurse have this permission.

Steps​

1. Open the inventory of the location​

  1. Open the facility.
  2. Select the location that needs the stock.
  3. Select Inventory.

2. Open the requests you raised​

  1. Select To Receive.
  2. Select the Requests Raised tab.

3. Start a new request​

Click Raise Stock Request.

4. Fill in the request details​

Complete the form fields.

ComponentsWhat it captures
NameThe name of the supply request.
NoteMore information about the request. This field is optional.
IntentThe level of authority of the request, for example a proposal or an order.
CategoryThe type of supply that you request.
PriorityThe urgency of the request.
ReasonWhy you raise the request.
Deliver FromThe location that supplies the stock. Select another location in the same facility.
DestinationThe location that receives the stock. Care sets the current location by default.

Note: Which fields are mandatory depends on your deployment's configuration.

5. Create the request​

Create the supply request. Care saves the request with the status Draft.

Expected Outcome​

  • Care creates the supply request and shows it in the Requests Raised tab.
  • The supply request has the status Draft.
  • The supply request has no items yet. Add the items in a separate step.
