Create a token category

Overview

This flow describes how to create a token category for a facility in Care. A category groups tokens, for example by the kind of visit. See Token.

Pre-requisites

• The facility is created in Care.
• You have the permissions listed below.

Permissions

Permission	Access
Can Create on Token Category	Lets you create a token category.
Can list token category on Facility	Lets you see the token categories of the facility.

Steps

1. Open the facility settings

Open the facility. Go to the settings and select Token Category.

2. Start a new category

Select the option to create a token category. Care opens the Create Token Category form.

3. Complete the fields

Field	What to enter
Name	A descriptive name for the category. This is required.
Shorthand	A short form of the name. Care shows it on the token. This is required.

4. Save the category

Save the form. Care shows the message "Token category created successfully."

Expected Outcome

• The category appears in the list of token categories for the facility.
• Staff can select the category when they create a token.
