Delete a location

Overview​

This flow describes how to delete a location from a facility in Care.

Pre-requisites​

  • The location is set up in the facility.
  • The location has no child locations.
  • No patient is assigned to the location.
  • You have the permissions listed below.

Permissions​

Can Create/Update Facility LocationsLets you create, update, and delete locations in the facility.

Steps​

1. Open the location list​

Go to the location list of the facility. See View locations.

2. Select the delete action​

Find the location that you want to delete.

Select the delete action for that location.

Note: Care shows the delete action only when the location has no child locations and no assigned patient.

Note: If the location has child locations, delete them first. Care does not delete a location that still has child locations.

3. Confirm the deletion​

Confirm the deletion.

Expected Outcome​

  • Care deletes the location.
  • The location list no longer shows the location.
