Create a purchase delivery
Overview
This flow describes how to create a purchase delivery for a location in a facility. The delivery starts as a Draft.
Pre-requisites
- You are a member of the facility that receives the delivery.
- Your facility has the location that receives the delivery.
- If you start from a purchase order, someone created that purchase order at your facility.
- You have the permissions listed below.
Permissions

Steps
1. Open the inventory of the location
Open the facility. Select the location that receives the delivery. Select Inventory. Go to the external deliveries area.
2. Start the delivery
Click Create Delivery.
Note: You can also start the delivery from an existing purchase order. Care fills the name, the vendor, the destination, and the tags for you. Care locks the destination.
3. Enter the delivery details

| Note | More information about the delivery. This field is optional. |
| Vendor/Distributor | The vendor or distributor that supplies the items. |
| Destination | The location that receives the items. Care sets the current location by default. |
If you start from a purchase order, check the filled values.
4. Create the delivery
Create the delivery. Care saves the delivery with the status Draft.
Expected Outcome
- Care creates the purchase delivery with the status Draft.
- The delivery contains no items. You add the items in a separate step.
