Cancel a token

Overview​

This flow describes how to cancel a token in Care. Use it when the patient leaves, or when staff do not serve the token. See Token.

Pre-requisites​

  • The token is in a queue.
  • You have the permissions listed below.

Permissions​

PermissionAccess
Can Create on TokenLets you cancel a token.
Can list token on ObjectLets you see the queue and its tokens.

Steps​

1. Open the queue​

Open the facility and select Queues. Select the queue that holds the token. See Manage a token queue.

2. Find the token​

Find the token on the Ongoing tab.

3. Cancel the token​

Select Cancel Token on that token. Care asks you to confirm.

4. Confirm​

Select Cancel Token to confirm.

Expected Outcome​

  • The token status changes to Cancelled.
  • Staff do not call the token in the queue.
